This site is an archive of Captain Horizon, the band, and it collects as little as it can. Last updated October 2026.
No cookies, no tracking
The site doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use advertising or tracking scripts. There are no accounts, comments or forms, and the fonts are served from this site rather than from Google.
What stays in your browser
When you open a page, your browser remembers it so it can show a UV “seen” stamp next time. That list is kept in your browser’s local storage, is never sent to us, and you can clear it with your browser’s site data.
Videos, players and maps
YouTube videos, SoundCloud players and Google Maps on this site only load when you click them, including the homepage “Play the set” button. Once you click, that service receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. YouTube videos play from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s reduced-tracking player. Links to Spotify, Apple Music and social sites are ordinary links and send nothing until you follow them.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We can see Cloudflare’s aggregate visitor statistics (page views, countries, browsers). They don’t use cookies and don’t identify you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email band@ or management@captainhorizon.co.uk, we use your address and message only to reply. We don’t add anyone to a mailing list.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. In practice that only means emails you’ve sent us. Write to management@captainhorizon.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
