CAPTAIN HORIZON to re-release debut album “The Lights Of Distorted Science” as a digital-only Bonus Edition
West Midlands based alternative rock band Captain Horizon recently joined Rocksector Records for the release of a brand new album in 2014. They’re also to re-release debut album “The Lights Of Distorted Science” as a digital-only Bonus Edition including 4 bonus tracks – the previously unreleased “The River” and “Ex Deus”, plus acoustic and single edits of the increasingly popular “Patch”
Band members : Steve “Whitty” Whittington (lead vocals), Joshua Watson(guitars, backing vocals), James “Mez” Merrix (drums, percussion), Alex Thomson (bass. backing vocals).
The band was formed in 2008 by Josh and Alex with the aim of bringing together the high energy and intricacy of bands like Incubus, Tool and Porcupine Tree with the classic swagger of stadium rockers such as AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd and U2. Whitty and Mez were added and each brought their own special elements of originality, belief and connection with audiences.
Three EPs were released, prior to the debut full length album “The Lights Of Distorted Science” with the infectious and moving “Patch” which was re-worked in 2013 with an inspiring video for the benefit of the Royal British Legion. Of the debut album, Powerplay magazine said “Emotional integrity and intellectual rigour married to songs of almost unbearably moving intensity”.
“The Lights Of Distorted Science” Bonus Edition is to be re-released on 10th February 2014.
